If your GP has given you a referral (“henvisning”) for physiotherapy at fysio360, it’s easy to assume this means your treatment is free — the way a lot of public healthcare in Denmark is — or that a further discount still needs to be applied somewhere. Neither is quite right.

What determines your price

With a referral, this is what you actually pay:

That’s your price — full stop, not a discount off something higher that you still need to claim. So why call it a “reduced” price at all? Because behind the scenes, the region — as part of Denmark’s public health insurance, tied to your yellow health card and CPR number — pays a subsidy directly to the clinic, on top of what you pay. Add your payment and the region’s subsidy together, and the treatment is really worth 529.63 kr. for the first visit and 336.76 kr. per session after, all in all — you just never see that split, or need to do anything about it.

Without a referral, there’s no such subsidy to the clinic, so you pay our own self-pay price instead: 650 kr. per session.

Want more time in a session?

Each price above covers a 30-minute session. You’re always welcome to ask for more time — some patients prefer a longer session — but anything beyond those 30 minutes is charged in addition, on top of what you already pay, whether or not you have a referral.

Why the price shifts during the year

The patient price and the subsidy are set nationally and adjusted twice a year, not by our clinic. That’s why the exact kroner amount can look slightly different in January than it did the previous summer — a few kroner up or down is normal and not a billing mistake.
